  1. As @Big Rat Paul referenced above I contacted TWG who were very helpful & who confirmed that the Quicksilver Exhaust (being only axel back & not containing any sensors) does not invalidate the warranty. There is a thread covering this where I posted TWG’s email to me & It applies to everyone with the system fitted to the RCF not just me. Lexus Cheltenham, who are a brilliant dealership run by car enthusiasts, fitted my exhaust, along with a few others on here. So if you want to be belt & braces about it give them a try unless you can persuade your local dealership to do it. Cannot say enough for the Quicksilver system, as @B1RMA said quiet as standard unless you prod the throttle then it sounds fantastic. It is louder on start up but reduces as soon as you put it in gear, Best decision I made as it means I can drive based on the engine revs, which is something I missed with my previous ISF. Go for it you won’t regret it👍🏻
  2. @mr2lad RCF doesn’t have an engine cover like the ISF does.
  3. @Peter P18 Hi Pete, Sorry to hear you are thinking of selling given all the research, money & effort you have put in to modifying the car. Having had the pleasure of experiencing how well it went before it had the supercharger it will certainly be a unique & special car for someone. Good luck with the sale, but part of me hopes you hang on to it. 😉
  4. Depends when it was registered - most likely its the 2010 model If it has the blue F panel at the bottom of the steering wheel with two equal sized speedo/rev counter. That model year was revised with a mechanical LSD.
  5. Totally agree, it’s a big part of the character of all those cars and a major part of their attraction. The daft part about the QS exhaust is that Lexus themselves commissioned it to help sell the RCF at the Goodwood FoS moving motor show 🙄 so they are clearly aware of the issue - at least in the UK anyway!
  6. I tend to use it sitting in traffic, which in Essex seems to be most of the time🙄 or when cruising on the motorway etc. The thing I really noticed after fitting the QS was how much I had missed the sound of the engine below 3.5k revs for gear changes. Because I do very few miles in my RCF, or the ISF before it, I hadn’t realised noticed how much this was affecting my enjoyment of these cars. For me it’s really my only criticism of the F cars, which is something Lexus really ought to address for markets such as Europe.
  7. I have also never found throttle response to be slow generally. I did initially find the eco drive mode a bit sluggish when pulling away,, but haven’t noticed it since. It may be that I have just adjusted to it, but I also wonder if this may have something to do with the car reacting /learning your driving style?
  8. I don’t have the TVD & my exhaust is flattened in the same way. The car felt more responsive immediately the exhaust was changed & others have said the same. I presume the standard exhaust is slightly more restrictive than the QS. Couldn’t agree more on the sound front. I never got round to changing the exhaust on my ISF, so was determined not to make the same mistake with the RCF.. Got it changed as soon as I got confirmation that it didn’t invalidate the warranty from TWG (who run the Lexus warranties) & also had some help from a certain Mr @Big Rat 👍🏻
  9. They do sound good - hardly ever listen to the ML sound system now😉
  10. Sounds good Matt & it has certainly been a while mate. Happy to oblige re the RCF, as long as I’m not responsible for giving you itchy feet away from that cracking ISF of yours 😉😆
  11. H Matt, Hope all is well with you. Mercedes Benz World at Brooklands is one possibility if it was a southern meet. Duxford aerodrome is another I know some of the guys have been to recently - I’m sure they will have views on its suitability. Be good to catch up 👍🏻
  12. Hi Paul, Good to see you back on the forum mate 👍🏻
  13. Nice - I do like the red leather👍🏻
  14. Congratulations & good choice👍🏻
  15. I think the darker colour is a better contrast with the white paint personally - nice colour 👍🏻
  16. When I had some issues with V8 Audi S4 a while back the master tech commented on the cleaness of the engine by saying it was obvious it hadn’t been run on supermarket fuel, so I suspect there must be something to this - I use Shell VPower.
  17. The warranty is very comprehensive & you can usually get 2 years cover for the price of one. It also includes, key insurance & AA European breakdown cover for you & your partner, so to me it seemed very good value.
  18. Couldn’t agree more - I know from the Lexus dealers that they often have to send them away to specialists. There have been quite a few members who have chosen a more available colour & got all the wheels done to solve the issue. It may prove easier to do the same, but hope you get it sorted whatever you decide.
  19. The BBS wheel colour is quite hard to match as it’s apparently made up of 2 colours. Thankfully I didn’t need to do this while I owned my ISF. The following is the paint info I made a note of from the various discussions on this forum so I hope it helps. ISF Wheel paint codes: Dark silver metallic (11GY39) Silver (11GY38) buffed finish Toyota touch up kit? Gray Mica Met 1E2 PZ449-W1E30-09 PD05/10. ED05/12
  20. The sport button on the sterring wheel was only on the later models with the larger central rev counter & LED DRL’s. The blue panel steering wheel came in when they updated the ISF to include the mechanical LSD around 2010 - all depends when the car was registered. I had the sport button, large Rev counter & LEDs on a late August 2011 but did see one of these models registered as early as March or April 2011. Until I bought my ISF everything I read had lead me to believe this model was only available from 2012 onwards. Good luck with the search - they are a brilliant car & you won’t find anything else with its performance that is as bomb proof.
  21. Welcome to the club & great choice, they are a brilliant car. Look forward to seeing some photos👍🏻
