  1. I Have a 2014 IS300 not a MK1 and I live in County Durham
  2. I have an IS300 Sport. My front tyres are fine and still on 4mm at 32000. I replaced my rear tyres at 30,000 miles even though they were still on 3mm. The reason was because although they looked fine the insides had gone done to the braiding and were illegal but I did not realise this. When I spoke to Lexus about it and asked if I needed a 4 wheel alignment they just said it was an issue with all IS models and it did not need 4 wheel alignment. Any suggestions?

  4. Just check my treads today what they said was front 4/4/4 and 4/4/4 they are 4mm on the extreme edge but when I checked over th 3/4 of tread they are both 6/6/6, same with the rear both 6/6/6 so there would be a little bet of poetic licence there. Got coughs like that before with a main dealer who phoned and said my front tyres are in urgent need of replacement and said change them. It turned out when I ask for the old ones back and took them to Kwik fit that they still had a legal 4mm on them. So in future I will monitor them myself. I will definitely get the Goodyears next time though.
  5. I also read that there was an issue with tracking causing excess wear and Lexus won't admit there is a problem with tracking settings or does this refer to older models?
  6. Tyre leader rate them well. I don't do fast round corners but in the north east we have loads of round a bouts I meant to say worn on the inside not both. STATISTICS OF THE GOODYEAR EAGLE F1 ASYMMETRIIC 2 are excellent on their website
  7. I have had this from 4000 miles. The previous user was The Lexus salesman maybe he was heavy with it. When I said I usually get around 30,000 he said not with the Is300 h f sport check again at 16000 to be safe!!!
  8. I have just had a 10000 mile service and was a little surprised to hear that I was down to 4mm. With wear on the outer and inner edges.. I have factory fitted Bridgestones. Has anyone else got this problem and what would be the best tyre brand to replace with when needed? I have heard that Bridgestones are notorious for low mileage.
  9. I can't understand why Lexus did not include a rear wiper on the IS300h. Would have been useful.
  10. I think it is just the ABS kicking in which ABS is designed to do when braking heavily. Just keep braking and let the technology do the rest. Can be a bit scary in Ice until you realise that it is all in the safety system.
  11. The trouble with Lexus is that they are using Navtech and that has always been expensive, out of date and quite honestly useless. The first thing I did when I found out how much is being charged for an upgrade was went out and bought top range TomTom 6000. I always had a TomTom with my 4 previous Prius and before that with my Peugeot 607. How Navtech have stayed in business I don't know. Toyota/Lexus need to put in a TomTom system as they have in some of their other models. Why have a micro SD card with the Nav on when you can't upgrade it!! Makes no sense.
