  1. Hi all just to say that my gs300h is one of the first , reg dec 2013 . On the portal there is a update but I cannot get it onto the car , downloaded to my laptop no problem but once on memory stick the car will not read the stick . Had car serviced this week and local dealer they said that I needed to pay £160 to get a activations code to update . I showed them they portal and it clearly says that it is free . Waiting for them to get back to me now .

  4. My old car is up for sale at lexus canterbury gj10cfk last time I looked it was £11,990 , just looked and still there Sent from my iPad using Lexus OC
  5. Hi I had a 2010 250 SE-L which was at the time top of the range , around town I was getting 28/30 mpg and on a run about 35/37 mpg . The other thing to think about if the car is not doing long motorway style runs then there is a chance of the diesel motor choking up . A diesel should have a high speed run once every 4/6 weeks to keep it clean as told to me by my local lexus dealer ...! Sent from my iPad using Lexus OC
  6. That was filling right to the top of the neck Sent from my iPad using Lexus OC
  7. Ok thought I would put my point over on this as with all cars the mpg has so much to do with the driver and how you read the road ahead , today coming home from a weekend away I reset my trip at Cherwell services on the. M40 and drove around the M25 back to East Kent and just before I got home had to fill up , was a test to see how good the fuel gauge is and as you can see from the picture only 4 mile range and the 60 ltr tank took 59.01 ltr but best of all was 58.2mpg over 2.5 hrs of motorway driving at 68mph . The best yet from my gs300h . Sent from my iPad using Lexus OC
  8. I think it's to get better mpg as the higher psi will reduce drag from the tyres but it will increase stopping distance so not so good . Sent from my iPad using Lexus OC
  9. Just had to let you all know that I have had a problem with the handling of my GS after its 1st service , after sending it back to the dealer and them telling me that everything was fine and that they could not find anything wrong , I found the tyre pressures to be 6psi above the recommended pressure . Although that doesn't seem to be that much it made the car feel unsettled at motorway speeds and , shame the dealer couldn't find the problem maybe the airline needs recalibration. 10. Update , why oh why have lexus put a connected service in the GS that need a old style phone to connect to the Internet , iPhone NO Galaxy NO nokia NO , only old blackberry or htc will allow the car to connect to the Internet , also they have taken away the ability to set the central locking to auto-lock the car once you are moving . And that for a luxury !!! PLEASE let me know what you all think of that . Sent from my iPad using Lexus OC
  11. The latest news on my car is that lexus sent there top tech man down to look at my car and he said it needs a new ecu for the satnav , but I think that the software that is in the gs needs a dun ( dial up network ) phone most modern phones do not have this as it's old school way of connecting . On the is300h it has the ability to connect to a wifi and most modern phones can be set up to broadcast there wifi , ie my nokia has a internet sharing function which is done over a wifi signal . when you set up your portal account at mylexus.eu there is a phone compatible section and there are only a couple of phone that run the connected services most being blackberry but even then it is the older ones . Strange when there is a video of the set up , on the lexus site showing them connecting a iPhone ........! I have spoken to lexus today and the new part will be in for my car next week ,I will let you know how it goes. With your 250 do you have any other problems ,does your cars auto lock the doors once your moving ? Sent from my iPad using Lexus OC
  12. Sorry didn't see all the posts sound like I'm behind the times . Sent from my iPad using Lexus OC
  13. Hi I may be wrong !!!! but that sound like a simple transmission fluid change might be at the bottom of this , as old oil brakes down when it gets to hot , the first thing to do and possibly the cheapest is change the transmission oil and filter an run the car for a few days and see how you go . I was a RAC patrol for a while but that was over ten years ago and my tech skills are a little out of date , but you might just saves yourself a few grand . Sent from my iPad using Lexus OC
  14. We'll now , I too had the same feeling as you and I did go for the GS300H luxury , glad I did as last week when my GS was being checked for the connected service on the satnav they gave me a is300luxury for the day . I felt cramped in it , the ride was a lot harder but the car did feel quicker getting up to speed but being a smaller car that's no surprise . Loving my GS sorry you didn't want me to say that lol . 15. Thanks for the warm welcome , I look forward to many hours of chatting online and any meets that I can make it to . Sent from my iPad using Lexus OC
