  3. Hi all The small lip type spoiler on my boot has some horrid lacquer peel and chips in, I know I can fill sand and smoth these out but I am unable to find and colour match for the silver in halfords etc, anyone know where I can get the paint from without going to local body shop and paying £100 or so to have it done Thanks Darren
  4. I see that's drum brake on pic where's as mine is a disc so may be the same sort of thing
  5. Hi all As title says, twice now I've driven over as lightly low set man hole cover, and both times now I've heard a clonk and and what sounds like when brakes are grinding ( rear passenger side ) Took wheel off first time and the hub was grinding when I spun it each way after about 5 mins of doing this grinding stopped and hub moved freely, second time was a it further from home carried on and noise stopped, Anyone else had this know what problem mighty be
  6. Tried to fit it flush but the screen wouldn't come out properly, it's only illegal to drive with screen out or halfords wouldn't be selling them ??? Also it has to be wired to handbrake !! Got a small badge on its way for grill
  7. Thanks again Dave all sorted, would never of thought of that, love it when you learn something new, that's made my day
  8. Thanks Dave will have a look see so your saying up its opened via lever ??
  9. Hi alll Was my B/day last week and was brought an in car DVD player and some black wire mesh, I do love it when your girlfriend listens to what you say you'd like to do to your pride and joy. So grill was removed, centre part cut away, then all ruff part sanded down, then this was covered in carbon wrap, mesh cut to shape, then mesh glued in and left to dry, grill back on car, Next up was the DVD player, already had the double din one removed and kenwood one in there, but wanted that little bit extra, so out came the stereo and the DVD player was married up to the IS200 kit and after a lot of fiddling, trimming, sanding and a hell of a lot of swearing, both where sat together DVD was wired in tested and both working, they will not play together, which would be silly anyway
  10. I've just changed dash and heater/ clock bulbs, all easy enough didn't replace stereo as I replaced that, heater and clock builds are simple enough just smaller led bulbs wedge type, all connectors are plug and play for Hester and stereo took about 20 mins tops to remove centre 10 mins for bulb change and to see if working and 10 to put back together just four bolts/nuts hold centre in and two if there there for vent
  11. Thanks Matt Did look in boot lid and cable seams to be attached still, looked in foot well and tried but carpet won't bunge because of seat undid front two bolts but couldn't find rear ones ?? I know there should be four but not removed before form IS200 any idea whereabouts they be
  12. Hi all The in-car boot release has stopped working, when lever is pulled thee is no resistance there at all, key fob release is fine. I have recently replace back box would this be a cause of problem? Anyone had issues with this any help would be great
  13. Update on back box Have managed to remove hat was left of pipe, and saved the bolts, springs and rubbers, now here's the problem when box came loose I had to cut the rear rubbers ( was in middle of road at time ). After removing left over bits of rubber there is no way to remount the new rubbers, anyone have any ideas on what I can do to fix rear rubbers in place.
  14. Hi all Had the misfortune of my back box falling off today about 500 metres from home, so was lucky I guess, had to cut rubber mountings too, once home looked underneath just the pipe to centre section, got new box on way and rubber mountings, only bolts to get for centre section but am finding it hard to sorce these bolts incase ones on there snoop on removal. So does anyone know where I can get these from, located in southampton
