  1. Approximately 5 years ago my father owned a Lexus IS200se, which he bought from his best friends son. When he bought it & it was delivered it turned out that that the car had been modified, the usual suspects alloy wheels, remapping and had also been fitted with a Toyota Altezza RS200 exhaust. Well the moment I laid my eyes on that car I knew I just had to have it & after my father drove me down the M3 motorway I felt the power and heard the roar of the engine, I was smitten. I made my dad promise if he ever got rid of it i would get first refusal. At this point I started looking up body kits, etc etc, at this time I was checking every search engine social network and so forth, then during one of my numerous searches I was on Google and I kept seeing links to Lexus Owners club, at first I merely gave the site a quick perusal but then I started to notice that this site seemed to have a rather large following on Facebook, twitter etc and I joined them merely for tips, gossip etc. Eventually I gave the home of the Lexus Owners Club a proper once over and started seeing the benefits of joining up as a fully fledged member be it discounted insurance deals, discounts for various websites and high street stores and so forth. Now I am actually the proud owner of what was my dads Lexus IS200se and I am so glad I joined The Lexus Owners Club, I use it almost daily be it for advice from other lexus owners in the forum it's connected social sites, for the occasional cheeky discount or for the hot gossip on the latest Lexus cars to hit the road or every now and then even a test drive of said cars. I am so glad I found your site and social links, for I would now be lost with out them. Thankyou so much
  2. I found the LOC via the Google searchbar. Then lost the clubs web address when I bought a new comp. Then found the LOC once again via Facebook.
  3. Hi there Mike, Thankyou for your reply & I appreciate your most warm of welcomes. I have checked out the LOC rules & shall definitely a deer to them as I would not wish to offend anyone or breach the club rules. In due course I would very much like to become a fully fledged member of the LOC & attend any meets & so on that may be occurring. Question: I am considering becoming a gold member, However I am unsure of the benefits of doing this. I have checked out what the gold membership entails but am still unsure as to whether it would be of any true benefit to me as a relatively new driver (My lexus is my first car & as such my insurance is spectacularly high). I hope there is someone out there whom can help with my quandary, as until its remedied I'm without a stereo, sat-nav or hands free kit. Again thank you for your warm welcome. Regards Sy
  4. Hello there my fellow LOC members, I've recently purchased a Lexus IS200SE, unfortunately the previous owner jammed the cd system. So I decided to upgrade to a bluetooth system which I've now purchased, I thought this was a great idea as it solved the existing problem & removed the need for my parrot system. Little did I know so many issues would follow. I don't really want to bypass the cars amp if I can help it, as I'm led to believe my sat-nav will no longer work if I'm to do this. Is it possible to connect the new stereo using the existing wires & then reconnecting my sat-nav using my parrot fitting kit which is still connected directly to the cars amp, would or could this work? I really don't want to have to go through the trouble of removing the sat-nav as then I'll have to put standard dash parts in, which I really don't want to do as it'll ruin the cars look & no doubt lower its value. Has anyone else had this issue and if so how did you combat it? Is there a way to fit the stereo and still keep the sat-nav working? PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!
