  1. Many thanks. I never thought of sticking a screwdriver there. Now the fun starts. MowCopMan
  2. Hi, Thought I'd have a go at taking out the blacked out temp display but failed at the first hurdle. Can anyone please tell me how to strip down the centre console so I can get at the display unit. Thanks.
  3. Something called "Thatcham Approval" was introduced about 1996 for alarm/immobilisers and some insurance companies insist on this. Sadly, the pre 1996 Lexus standard fit alarms/immobilisers are not covered. 2 options...go and buy one...... go to a different insurance copmany. If you buy one, it has to be professionally fitted and a certificate issued which then has to be forwarded to the insurance company. I ended up going with Direct Dial Insurance and are ok!!
  4. I ended up buying some NK Iridiums from a fellow in California, via E-bay, cost ---- $46 +$5 p&p. Royal Mail put a sticker on the package requiring extra payment of £8-42 but seeing as though the postman didn't ask, I got away with it. I still wonder what Ford or Mitsubishi specify.
  5. I've been browsing E-Bay for some spark plugs for my '94 LS400 and found this link http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...ssPageName=WDVW These plugs are Unipart GSP2062 and allegedly fit LS400, Ford Galaxy, Transit and some Mitsubishis. The starting bid for a pack of 10 is £4.99!!! If the Galaxy plugs fit the LS400, nobody ever needs to buy from Lexus again as Ford are bound to be cheaper. Any comments?
