  1. 😃 yes front driver's side right, but not the extreme right. I pressure washed it on the weekend and the paint started to come off the sensor. It started off as a tiny chip of paint but just suddenly got worse. All other sensors look ok. I will clean off the remaining peeling paint on the sensor on the weekend and see if I can get some silver paint from Lexus. Thx
  2. Hi all My parking sensor on the driver's side right corner has started to beep all the time at low speeds. I suspect it is due to paint flaking of the sensor from previous posts. My question is ...what's the best way to restore the parking sensor ? Can I just clean the old paint off and spray over with a new can of paint ? Thanks
  3. I use a jabra cruiser 2... Works fine Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  4. There is soooo much to check that i got bored !! (Keep to bluesman advice - check it all) I hadn't experienced something so comfortable and quick on the test drive that I was smitten, So bought it on the spot. It was the first one I had seen and driven!!! So far so good...just lucky I guess. Good luck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I have only ever owned a LS430 and (touch wood !) I have not had any problems so far...I cannot fault the build quality on it. I think when it comes to cars our our age it's always a risk and therefore would recommend buying one that has a good history and caring owner. Sent from my XT1092 using Tapatalk
  6. I would take it as a compliment. The other person probably knows good ones are getting very rare now. Sent from my XT1092 using Tapatalk
  7. I think that price is similar to what I have been quoted 60per wheel
  8. Well done and another LS saved from the breakers yard! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. This was on my to do list with Japex at the end of the year when service was due...depending on cost and based on what Lexus are saying it does make the decision a tough one ! Sent from my XT1092 using Tapatalk
  10. Well the scores are in and it is a unanimous win for the LS430 :-) Sent from my XT1092 using Tapatalk
  11. Hi all After 5 months of ownership I have more good thing about the LS 400 than the LS430. Mainly due to the fact there is less to go wrong. I own a LS430 and it has made me think about a LS400 ! But ....mine has been trouble free :-) So, if you could have either model and both would be trouble free, which would you chooses ? Does the LS430 win because of the gadgets ? Modern look ? Thx Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. No news from UK Techniks ?? The suspense !!...really feel for you bluesman. Sometimes you appreciate it more after a long absence, like a holiday and you realise how great these cars are when you jump back in. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. Never too late to come back .... Sent from my XT1092 using Tapatalk
  14. Thanks Malc, I was more concerned about all the mechanicals and rot, which the servicing garage said were all taken of care of. Paint and bodywork was next his list but costs starting mounting up so he cut his losses. From a distance it all looks great but when standing next to it the imperfections are obvious. 15. I'd never heard of that phrase before either ? Yes, saw the car on Tuesday, poor paint on rear arch where owner has tried to chemically remove some rust bubbling and spray over. Rear spoiler is fibre glass could also do with skimming and painting as it is showing some bobbling. Small crease in other arch that needs pulling out and light filler. Problem is if I do the rear of the car the front will look old...so might as well do the whole thing. It's a small car so hoping it is not much. I may be in Nottingham soon so maybe Derbyshire is an option ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Keep looking as they are fantastic cars Sent from my XT1092 using Tapatalk
  17. Hi all Just left a deposit for a Nissan 300zx but paintwork needs addressing. Just needs a light "flash spray" I was told. Any recommendations of good body shops in the buckinghamshire / Berkshire / Hertfordshire areas Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. All fixed now. Normal super reliability resumed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. But I don't use a key blade, it's like a plastic key fob that goes into the ignition barrel. I don't think spraying that will have the same effect ?? Sent from my XT1092 using Tapatalk
  20. I used to have an abarth essessee... An absolute hoot to drive and completely the opposite to the Lexus. I hope this story ends well for the Lexus..... Sent from my XT1092 using Tapatalk
  21. Or for the Reading to Maidenhead service, I leave Reading anytime from 5-6pm Sent from my XT1092 using Tapatalk
  22. I work in green park Reading. So if you need a lift to reading after dropping your car with UK technics in the morning let me know. Sent from my XT1092 using Tapatalk
  23. Look forward to your experience of UKTechnics as that is only 20 mins from me. More than welcome to pop in for a coffee in the evening before you drive back :-) Sent from my XT1092 using Tapatalk
