  1. I replaced the whole screen, which included the touchscreen element. Found one on ebay for around £150 which was a whole lot cheaper than what Lexus was quoting!!! I may repair my old screen with the conductive paint and keep it as a spare.
  2. Just had another go, turns out that one of the plugs was not in properly. Now all working :) The missing plug was just a red herring.
  3. I have a 07 IS250 with the Mark Levinson Sat Nav system. The touchscreen stopped working, so I followed online instructions to change the screen. However, when re-installing the unit I noticed that there was one socket on the back of the unit where I could not find a plug. I looked hard, but I could not find the "missing" plug. Is it possible that not all of the sockets need to be occupied with a plug? Or should all of the sockets have plugs in them? The reason why I ask is that now that the unit is back in the car, the touchscreen works (yay!) however the following MAP, DEST, & MENU buttons dont do anything but put stripes on the screen. Apologies if I have not explained things very well, any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
  4. Thanks, I shall look into the rear shock as a potential source. I shall also search for the centre consol speaker fix.
  5. Hi, I have recently been given an IS250 SEL 07 through family. It is a lovely car, apart from a few issues that I would like to try and resolve. The first is the touchscreen is not working, however there is plenty of information online on how to fix it, so hopefully that should be resolved soon. The other issue/issues is that the car has a number of rattles and creaks, it really ruins the experience. It has only done 62000 miles so it is a little surprising how rattly it is. I have identified 1 of the rattles coming from the centre of the dash, around the speaker grill. The main noise other than the dashboard seems to be coming from the back, and its like a cracking sound generally at low speeds (doesnt even need to be a bumpy road). However, I am struggling to work out where it is coming from, does anyone have a list of common causes of rattles and creaks in the IS250 that may help me try and identify where some of the other noises are coming form? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
