  1. Update - after 3 hours of trying, both stationary and on the M5 I finally managed to get TS to initialize a regen. For a long time the software would immediately switch to 'Complete', which is a fault - if it can't perform the task it should say 'error'. Anyway, after many (20??) attempts on both DPF clean cycles it started working, temps up in the 500s and me keeping the revs on the M5 at 2500 she cleared out for 20 mins. reset all the lights and then took it to Car Surgeons anyway. a lovely chap who re-did it fori me. As I'd already cleaned the DPF he only charged me £150. Ran great for 2000 miles but I've sold it now - far too much hassle. Hope it lasts a long time for the next person. Real shame - lovely car apart from that.
  2. Did you manage to work out if your TS initiated the regen? Your DPF said 'No Block' so something happened. I can't get mine to initiate. any ideas???
  3. So I to fix the P2002 light I managed to install the Techstream software and drivers and also get it to recognise the vehicle. Scanned the system and of course, the P2002 particulate filter blocked code appears. If I try to clear it, it immediately comes on again so I leave it. Move on to clearing the DPF. PM status currently 'Block' as you would expect. Click the right arrow on Activate DPF PM to switch on but the main status remains on 'Ready', never switches on. Held revs at 2000rpm and EGT reached 200 degrees. Am I missing something?? Indicator just 'Ready'. Held revs for 15 minutes, no smoke, nothing. Any ideas???
  4. Hi, guys, I'm back in the land of dead LS220s with DPF and limp modes on. Could someone send me Techstream via Drive or Dropbox with some instructions??? Alos, never found out if you can use it stationary or not? If not, does it need to be over 3000 rpm for the whole time?
  5. I have been told that the software requires XP. Hopefully someone can confirm. You can get USB CD drives unless someone techie comes along and helps us that's the best I can do. It's old software I know that for sure. i reckon the memory stick/W10 route is doomed to failure.
  6. Will let you know. I'm not going to get around to it for a few weeks due to other commitments but watch this space. All seems like a bit of a workaround to be honest though. We'll see. How much did Lexus charge you and which branch? Might go the easy route. Problem is I'm limping!
  7. Am i being naive here or could you not just pop in to Lexus (Toyota) and they'll tell you. Sounds pretty bad to me so they should know. Mine grumles in neutral and goes silent depressed but apparently that's normal (maybe someone could confirm that as I've only just got the car). Apart from that and the fact it's broken down due to the DPF I'm over the moon. Back to my, faultless for 220,000 miles, LS400 for a while I guess. I wish I could afford a GS300h
  8. Thanks for the advice and link. We're in Wales. Will the TechStream software work when the car is stationary??? Have you used it???
  9. Usual warning lights on dash on my IS220d - P2002. 100,000 miles, new EGR fitted by Lexus @ 49,000 One careful lady owner so expected the worse as it's probably never been out of Solihull. Took off EGR and it was pretty bad so cleaned this out but after resetting the lights with a reader purchased from Amazon for £15 they came on again after 1 minute, followed by the limp mode. I'm 50 miles from the nearest dual carriageway and about the same from the nearest DPF doctor in Telford. Anyone know how I can force the DPF into a cleaning cycle whilst the vehicle is stationary? I can start the engine and warm up, then increase to around 3000 rpm no problem. Any other suggestions will be gratefully received
  10. Hopefully LPG not too short lived or my LS400 will be used even less https://www.outandaboutlive.co.uk/motorhomes/news/bp-starts-withdrawing-lpg-from-petrol-stations
  11. We're paying £230 with Performance Direct, ours is a tricky one as it's LPG. Adrian Flux also like Lexus for some reason.
  12. Us too, just joined. Looking forward to a meet in the Midlands
