As above, I'm looking for the detachable ball part of a genuine Lexus/Toyota tow bar on my GS300. I don't know if there were different types and my serial number is unreadable. Thanks, Bod

Hi, Has anyone on here chipped their GS? I'm not really thinking of doing it as it really is fast enough, I just wondered if it had ever been done and how successful it was and how much more power it gave. I put a Lindop chip on my wife's Rav4 taking it from 150bhp to 180bhp but more importantly, a more usable torque range. Mine is a 2002 GS300 SE Thanks Bod -

I think I'll do mine next week and take pictures a and pop it in the 'how to' section . Edit...... No I won't bother doing the 'how to' as it's already been brilliantly done by Tigerfish in the GS (1993-2004) section. -
My 2002 GS300 150000 miles uses exactly no oil. Best car I ever owned. Love it to death. On a similar note to what your Mini dealer said, I owned a Toyota Verso in 2008 and my dealer said that the 1litre of oil use every 1000 miles was within normal parameters. Bod

Hi, my electric aerial has started to do a weird thing. It goes up to the top an then the top two sections come down half a section each. Any ideas? Thanks Bod

Love the idea of the Flintstones thing but I'm to lazy. That's why I drive a Lexus. Lol. The LPG thing is a good idea but the cost of fitting it is more than ii paid for the car and I'm thinking it may take me years to make the money back. Having said that I don't really know a lot about LPG. Does it have to have a health check every year? Do you run on gas all the time or does iit run in conjunction with petrol? How much is the gas per litre and how many mpgs does it do? So many questions. Bod.

Although I'm perfectly happy to keep pouring the old spirit into the tank of my beautiful GS300 has anyone found a quick or cheap or clever way to make theirs more economical?

Well here she is in all her splendour. Paint cut back and polished by me while the leather was cleaned and fed by my lovely wife. I she she looks pretty good for a 14 year old with 150,000 miles on her. (not the wife, the car.)

Sorry, don't know what happened there. I got a quote for a proper cut back and polish from a detailing company and they wanted £229+vat to do it on top of £360+vat to blast and powder coat the wheels. I think I'll be doing it myself.

Hi, does anyone know where "Bank 2 Sensor1" heated oxygen sensor is on the exhaust please. I can see two sensors under the bonnet but both are on what I would call bank 1. I have a code of P1055 and just need to know if I can locate the correct sensor before purchase. Thanks, Bod.

Turns out that Lexus never made, supplied or offered mudflaps for a GS in the UK. Door rubber is £94 from Lexus so I'll not be having a new one of those. Breakers yard searches continue. Bod

My old 2002 needs a bit of life put back in to the paint work. It's a plain flat blue not metalic but some paint nowadays have a clear coat over a flat colour. If this is the case then I would need to use the T-Cut in the silver bottle for metalics, right? If there is no clear coat then original T-Cut in the red bottle is the one. Does anyone know if Lexus put clear coat on the solid blue colour cars? Thanks, Bod

Thank you for the welcome Gents. I picked up my car from Yorkshire on Sunday and drove it back the 231 miles to Norwich. What a great drive it was. I only have one picture at the moment and don't want to take anymore until I have done the bizo with the cleaning products. Anyway, here it the one and only piccy so far.

Having only had my GS for 4 days this is the first of probably many questions to come. My radio control buttons on the steering wheel don't work but the up and down gear change buttons do as does the cruise control. Has anyone got any experience of this or a remedy. Or maybe its a 'settings' issue. Thanks, Bod
