  1. If you are going for something different, wrapping is the way... 😎 If you want to freshen up tired paintwork, the prep work is likely to far outstrip the wrapping costs! Be aware reversing (unwrapping) the car to original can sometimes end up with even more work to make it presentable.

  3. Yes, very glad it's not related to the new electric tech but even so must be a tad embarrassing, something so fundamental as keeping the wheels attached!!
  4. No, it's to do with the wheels coming loose, nothing electric related.
  5. AFAIK it's to do with ping time, the time it takes a sensor to respond determines it's location relative to the ECU. My RC reports the actual tyre pressure for each wheel in a neat little graphic. Also the system would need a reset as the tyre pressures set on each sensor would change? Don't most cars have a different pressure for front and rear axles?
  6. I don't know the answer but doubt there would be a simple way, rather defeating the object. I would strongly suggest if someone does know they don't post it on the open forum! Private messaging you would be the 'secure' method...
  7. "World’s largest carmaker recalls 2,700 battery SUVs with safety issue less than two months after launch" https://www.ft.com/content/aab59edd-2a14-409c-8d31-6d64831f633f
  8. If the tyre shop removes all the wheels in one go and doesn't refit them in the original locations then it would be needed to re-initialise the TPMS
  9. Yes, the ICE will slowly recharge the battery, just as if it were a 'normal' self-charging hybrid
  10. General driving variables are likely to be more of an issue....
  11. You'll end up covering the whole car and getting a cracked windscreen!! Enjoy driving the car and deal with the inevitable when it happens!
  12. Nothing, other than being careful not to damage them. Most tyre shops are well aquatinted with them now. Make sure the tyre pressures are correct and all will be well
  13. I think I would have to agree with the dealership. There may well be no corrosion to the metal but if water has gone under the paint it may well swell and blister. What colour is the car? A smart repair may be the way to go.
  14. If Toyota/Lexus implement function coding along the same lines as Mercedes (I imaging all manufacturers will use similar systems) then these regional specific codes will set using production line level coding systems. Once the cars emerge into the real world the service level systems such as Techstream will not have individual access to the lower level coding and region specifics will be grouped together to make replacing modules, due to failure or accident, simpler/quicker/cheaper. One can change the region such as from UK to ROW (speaking from MB experience) to achieve a required change but one needs to be very careful that other 'grouped' settings aren't also changed, that may lead to unwanted changes in other settings. Maybe from miles to kilometres or gallons to litres, for example.
