Welcome to the life of the is220d owner. I had one of these from 2015 until 2020. Pros the car looks good nice place to sit and comfortable seat. And not a bad looking car. the cons this where I could list a long list. the engine 2.2 diesel never survived the transition from front wheel to rear wheel drive. secondly the engine suffers with terrible EGR issues or carbon related issues. Which in tune can cause a loss of power. it spent more time with the mechanic then driving come through end. If anyone wants a Lexus buy the original is200 or the is250. best thing I ever did last year was get rid of it for a more reliable and economical car. These cars are money pits. Best avoided along by with the disappointment etc. Best thing I ever did was trade it in last year.

I had my re call letter for the airbag recall yesterday so will get mine booked in with Lexus Bristol. From what I am reading it's affecting quite a few vehicles. Mine is the is220d F sport 2011 60 plate.

I've had this on my IS220d and was quoted by the mechanic I use as EGR valve to start with. this was changed and the problem came back two days later this time with the engine management light. So I then sent the car for live diagnostic to harbour road garage at portishead and was throwing up a fault with the fuel rail over pressurising. They then got the bit but couldn't fit so now it's at Lexus Bristol hopefully to be rectified soon.
