  1. It's not halogen, it is a LED. Thanks for your help anyway.
  2. No, the sidelight is the bit next to that to the right on the picture. This bit only comes on when on low beam and stays on also in high beam.
  3. "you can't have the DRLs "constantly on". They must either dim or go off completely when you turn on your lights, so as to avoid dazzling other drivers at night, so you'll need to use a couple of relays to achieve this" The thing is that this portion of the light is actually on all the tme the low beam is on anyway so it wouldn't make a difference if it was on constantly. What I really want to know is whay is it there at all? what is the purpose of that section? The low beam is actually the two small round projectors.
  4. Hi All, I have a RX450h 2009 Premier with the LED headlights. Does anyone know what the section marked in red is actually for? Can this section be wired to be constantly on so as to be used as a DRL and if so what are the wiring colours that supply the LED in there? The headlight is supp;ied by a block connector with the following wires, L/Blue, Black, White/Black, Brown, Gray The side light is supplied separately as is the turn signal.

  6. My RX400h now has it, I added a set of Cobra Parkmaster acoustic to compliment the rev camera. Works really well and doesn't break the bank. https://www.carcommunications.co.uk/car-accessories/driver-safety-aids/parking-and-reversing-sensors/cobra-park-master/cobra-r0294-4-way-22mm-car-audio-rear-parking-sensors Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  7. Try going into the settings and setting it to PAL instead of NTSC. I can play from a iPad plugged into the wires in the back of the drivers seat pocket like this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  8. Should work straight away as it is the proper Lexus one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  10. Depending on how you read that, it could lead you to believe that the reversing lights are better on cars that haven't got the camera, but they aren't, they're just as bad. It's mainly down to the already not-so-bright bulb being more than half enclosed in a sort of shroud (pic below), so two modifications you'll be wanting to do quite quickly after buying the car will be to get rid of said shroud and also replace the dim bulb with LEDs. It makes things a whole lot better and is easy to do. How do you get in there to remove that shroud? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  12. Well, all done. Gen 5 upgrade completely installed and fully working, including a new ML amp in the boot. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  13. Try the 400h at only £175 p/a, my RX400h cost me £3400 just 9 months ago and with 240000 miles on it. It may as well have had 80000 the way it drives! Well worth looking for the hybrid if you can. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  14. My RX400h has done 252000 miles, yes that's the right number, with full service history still drives like new. Don't worry about miles, get full dealer service history. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  15. Thanks for the replies. It just seems a bit strange that it's only when the screen is brighter. I wend on a night journey 2 days ago and as the screen was in night mode it didn't flicker once. [emoji848] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
