  1. Thank you John. I have spoken with Lexus/Toyota and many steering specialists. The answer has been no other steering rack fits, whether it be from a different model Lexus or a Toyota. Des from DMRR reckons the steering column gear box (SCGB) might be installed without cutting the steering column, but until someone has done that, I can't take the punt.
  2. Quaife and DMRR recently developed a Steering Column Gear Box (SCGB) that quickens steering. It has a 1.25:1 ratio. I am told by DMRR that the SCGB has so far been fitted by a customer to a Porsche Boxter. If someone manages to fit it to a Lexus SC430, preferably without cutting the steering column, I would appreciate if you write me. DMRR can be contacted via www.dmrr.net. Attached are photos of the SCGB and uni-joint knuckles for the SCGB.
  3. Hi Colin, I want to do the same. Did you find a solution e.g. a pinion gear from another Lexus model?
