  1. Hi. The info you require is in section 9.2 and starts on page 750. Bri
  2. Hi Alan, Just picked up this thread. I tow with a RX450h and have done for several years now with both a 400h and a couple of 450h's. I find them to be a very good tow vehicle and have never had any problems so you should manage a 1500 kg van with no problems at all ( I currently tow a twin axle at 1900kg MTPLM but have towed previously a couple of 1700kg vans). As for battery failure they are few and far between I believe. If you have a Lexus service it includes a battery check and think that extends the warranty for another year up to 100000 miles but check on the RX forum as there are several mentions there around battery warranty. As Mike says perhaps posting on the RX forum will illicit more info. Bri
  3. Hi, this sounds to me like an after market reversing warning, possibly tied in to the reversing lights?
  4. Hi, see this thread It sounds like you may have the same problem. Bri
  5. Hi Paul, Looking back on at the threads on the subject that I know of it does not not appear so. I think it seems to be just how well the dealer makes you're case, low mileage, full Lexus service history even how many Lexus vehicles you have had before were all mentioned when I was at the dealership. I would say if you are having the same problems with a 21 reg vehicle then I would have hoped should be no problem IMHO. Bri
  6. Hello Hugh, I have towed several caravans with previous and current RXs ranging from 1600kg to the current twin axle @ 1900kg MTPLM. They make very good towing vehicles in my opinion. MPG is not brilliant at around an average 19 MPG but as I have also towed with a Mercedes ML350 at 22 MPG which I think it is very comparable given the comfort and reliability of the RX Vs the Merc. Bri
  7. Hello all, After a couple of visits to my dealer Lexus have agreed to replace the fixed part of the pan roof, It has been booked in for the end of the month (March)as the part is not available at present. Which I guess could be an indication of the number of them having to be replaced or more likley the ship bringing them from Japan is having to go round Africa rather than through the Suez canal! Either way I am very pleased with the result. I should add that it is being done as goodwill on the part of Lexus and not under Relax. Bri
  8. Hello, Have a look at this in the RX forum. It sounds potentially a bit like the same problem ( or similar). This thread goes on for quite a while but it was eventually found to be one of the injectors 'misfiring'. I had the same problem and had it fixed bt changing one of the port injectors (used for cold start I believe) Hope this helps Bri
  9. My 2016 Luxury has the heated and ventilated seats. I leave them on the auto setting and they seem to work well. I can certainly feel the heaters working in the winter and the cooling in the occasional warm days in the summer! Bri
  10. Hi Michael, It may be worth contacting Lexus customer services as I think it shows very poor customer support on behalf of the dealer. You may be surprised if they do get involved. Bri
  11. Hello all, I am particularly interested in your solution Paul as I have exactly the same problem. I went to my local dealership just before Christmas and was told that they would contact customer services but have heard nothing back which I assumed to be because Lexus were not interested. To give a bit more detail around 18 months ago I noticed that the rubber was coming off my sunroof (the bit that opens ) the dealership said that it was not covered under warranty as it was considered to be 'trim' so I forked out around £650 for it to be replaced. Just before Christmas I noticed that the rubber was coming off the fixed bit of the pan roof (see photos). I was then told that the entire piece of glass needed to be replaced and the cost was a horrendous £4000 just for the part! It comes with a load of other bits for the sunblind etc which I don't need. If it should be covered under the relax warranty then somebody is trying it on at my expence which I do not like very much.
  12. Hi Mick, There seems to be a good deal of these available on line, this is the one I found on a quick google search. https://batterygroup.co.uk/batteries-by-vehicle/car-batteries/accessories/10188/battery-vent-tube/vent-pipe Bri
  13. Hi, I cannot really say that they did as mine was just a straight forward swap of the micro SD card. Also I would have thought that if you scan through your handbook it will tell you where to put the discs. However I seem to remember that I had to get the dealer to do the upgrade on my Gen 3 as I think it is all stored on a hard drive somewhere behind the head unit in the dash. I'm sure someone will put both of us right if I am wrong! Sorry I cant be much more help. Bri
  14. Hello, Yes I have used the satnavi shop to update the maps on my RX. However mine come on a micro SD card (2016 gen4). I found them very helpful and very cheap. I will be updating again next year when the latest maps come out. Bri
