  1. I have a NX 300H 2016 and a while ago I had a replacement front windscreen fitted by Auto glass a a result of a crack. The embossment on the windscreen is Lexus. What is quite a bind is that the auto windscreen wipers do not operate .i.e. when set up it initially clears the screen but despite rotating the auto dial no matter how much it rains it does not operate. I am wondering when the screen was replaced does it have sensors in the windscreen which sends a signal to the wipers to operate. More than a pain than anything any ideas please.
  2. I am sourcing a battery but some sites are asking is the vehicle a start/stop vehicle. My wife has a MB which is definitely start/stop. any ideas what the measurements of the 12v battery is
  3. Yes I think for piece of mind I will replace it shortly as I am going abroad next month albeit for only one week this time. At present using the car daily there are no issues I was just wondering I have an Halfords voucher as a gift for £25 which could be used to purchase/ fit anew battery. I was just wondering if their staff have the skill to be able to fit an appropriate battery.
  4. Just a quick question any idea which 12v battery shock be fitted for example Halfords £81 a local battery centre £160 would you trust Halfords
  5. The adaptor in the boot works fine as I used a tyre inflator to pump up the rear tyres but the front one would not work will check the fuse when I next use the car later
  6. In my nx 300h the 12v adaptor or what used to be called a cigarette lighter works fine in the boot but not the one in the centre console any ideas of why this how can I check if there is any power there
  7. Thanks for the advice the battery is in the boot but when the breakdown person arrived he opened the bonnet and placed the crocodile clips on a connection on the left hand side near the bulkhead first time I have seen this.
  8. I have 2016 nx 300h with 45000 on the clock. I parked the car in the airport recently and left it for two weeks.Upon my return I went to the car and used th key fob to open the doors and boot no problems. When I got inside the usual dashboard instructions came up to start the car and it illuminated like Blackpool lights but would not go tried it a few times with same result but noted the wipers had slowed down a lot when activated them. Called the breakdown service and he placed the power back on and away to go drove home 50 miles or so no problem and no problem since.Went to a garage to see if a battery replacement was required. They placed the multi meter on the terminals and said battery was good fully charged and at this time did nor recommend replacement despite the explanation I had given. I have had the car from new and just wanted views on replacing the battery as I will be leaving car in the airport in the Autumn for a week. The battery is in the boot but the booster connections were under the bonnet first time I had ever seen this.
