Learning new stuff everyday! ( btw hats off to you Linas.P, always answering my questions! Greatly appreciated )

For me it would be abit easyer since i ive got halogens ( no washers ) also i got no parking sensors, and i got a friend who`s a very skilled painter. The only problem would probably be the fitting, and i have never done any "body kit" work. So i got no experience in that area. It would be very tempting to order 1 and give it a go, but since its not just plug n play i wouldn't really wanna waste money on it if it would end up in a scrap yard. Think i need to wait on next months paycheck and sleep on it....still would love the facelift

Hey again! browsing the magical internet i stumbled on this bumper http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Front-Bumper-Lexus-IS-XE20-05-13-F-Sport-Facelift-XE30-Design-Fog-Lights-Grille-/232509222499?fits=Car+Make%3ALexus|Model%3AIS|Cars+Type%3A250&hash=item3622a12e63:g:la8AAOSwlHBZ0eh7 It clearly says it will fit the Is mk2, but my question is will it fit directly without any extra modifications ? cause i really like the new front bumper on the newer IS, this would be much more affordable than a newer car. Also would anyone happen to have installed it ? cause i really would like to see how well it fits the older gen IS. Also will the fog light connectors just be plug n play ? Thanks!

Thanks! That video sure makes it seem way too easy :) but seems to be a simple install. Gotta start checking my wallet if i should get some aftermarket headlights, sadly i cant find any in Europe so there will be some extra tax to pay when buying. This forum never lets you down. thanks for the replies!

Thanks! clears out things abit. Im alredy checking ebay for aftermarket led headlights, sadly i cant find any within the Eu. But the thing that will annoy me is the adjustment switch in the car, it will be useless and non working. i know its a stupid thing to be annoyed with, but its just me! i want everything in the car to be in working order.

Hey guys n gals! So after the last MOT, which i passed nearly with flying colors. Only thing the mot guy complained about was that the driver side headlight adjustment didnt work ( the electronic switch from inside the car ) So is it most likely the motor is broken? and is it easy to fix ? after replacing it how do you get them on same level ? Then again i have been looking at new headlights alltogheter, almost fell in love with theese ones that are black, would look good on my black lexus ( http://www.k2motor.com/06-09-lexus-is250-led-drl-projector-headlights-black.html ) But theese dont have the electronic adjustment ? will there be any warning lights coming on if u just forget all about them ? will make the switch useless. Oh and also im 99% sure i got halogens and no AFS. Sorry if they are stupid questions.

Not to go too much off topic but how much is the total cost of driving a car in Uk ? For me here in Finland The Car : lexus IS -06 177,000km = 15,000€ Co2 Tax = 450€/ year Insurance = 900€/year No wonder Finland has the oldest cars on the road in the nordics -

As a new Is250 owner i must ask, why are they doing a recall ? something not right with the airbags ? -
Hi! Yes mainly 95 and 98 @ the pumps, always been using 98 cause price difference is so small. E85 is cheapest around here but never thought about adding that to the tank, dont u need to install somekinda of kit to make your car run on it ? seen alot of ad`s for the E85 kits to convert your car to use it. changes the ignition timing or something? ( dont know anything about them ) Well sounds like i will be totally fine with just using 98 :)

Yes! Thanks to this forum is probably saved alot of money and future problems! Lets just hope this one doesnt get the carbon build up prob! Thinking of adding a oil catch can, might help avoid that problem! anyone experience about them ? should be rather easy to add :) and heres a pic of my new ride, a plain simple is250 auto, -06 and 170,000km`s on the clock ( fack they are expensive in Finland. price tag 15,000e

Sorry for bumping the old topic! but if anyone else has the same issue its fixed now! So the problem to the blue smoke was the 5th injector! Got it fixed and while at the dealers i traded it in for a IS250 before anything else pops up! Just wanna say thanks for all the reply`s and help! 220d, never again! :) luv my auto is250 ( so far )

Did a 30km test drive today, got it to smoke 2 times but it wasnt that bad, got some blue in the rear view mirror, barely noticble. How often does the 5th injector inject ? Cuse if it only happens randomly i think it should be the 5th injector, but i would like to know how often it actually injects ? Could i be that i bought the car of someone whos been doing alot of city driving, and now i took it to the country side with further distances its started to clean out the dpf properly now ? ( wish i just spent a little more money n got a Is250 )

Hi again! Theres no extra lights on the dash. The thing is that i just recently bought the car and i really cant afford anything extra at the moment...tight budget, i thought i was buying a reliable diesel luxury toyota, but after reading more about the engine i was wrong. suprise! just my typical luck! Closest Lexs dealer is about 150km away, but i guess a toyota dealer is pretty much the same eh? only 40km`s away how much is a typical pressure test and a how much is the fifth injector cost ? guess you cant change the injectors yourself without a software ? ( god i hate theese computer cars )
