  1. Hi everyone, I need a replacement rear quarter window trim for my 2004 RX300. Does anyone know of a reputable company that might be able to help please?. Thanks DaveB
  2. Hi Jerry, I have a 2004 model. The main problem is the drain hole exit where the cill meets the front wing. It gets clogged with mud and other crud. Try and prod about with something like a plastic tie whilst pouring water down the sun roof drain hole. This will have the effect of flushing the loosened mud and cleaning the blockage. Hope this helps. Kind regards DaveB
  3. Hi djgrubber, I did the job without disconnecting the battery. The sensor has a very substantial plug in assembly. I would imagine if the sensor was left unplugged then no damage would happen but the warning light would be illuminated. It is only a headlight levelling system and not AFS. There are no other sensors controlling the headlights on my car which is an RX300 SE. The parts I used are 48906-35010 Sensor link adjuster. 89405-48020 Sensor unit. The link I got from eBay for a fiver and the sensor I got from amazon for £25 including free postage. I was lucky enough to have a professional car technician check my car with a Code reader but nothing was showing. Hope you sort it . DaveB
  4. Hi guys, I have just recently had this problem and managed to sort it. It started with a rusted broken adjuster linked to the sensor which is located on the offside rear suspension. I replaced this part from an eBay seller for £5 including delivery!. However this didn’t cure the problem entirely and after searching eBay and Amazon etc I sourced a new sensor for £25 and ‘bingo’ all is now sorted for a total £30. Result!.
  5. Hi Spudd, I had the same problem. The drain holes behind the front wheels were blocked with mud/crud. This has to be cleared periodically. Plenty of ‘You tube’ info videos on this problem. DaveB.
  6. Hi everyone, hope you are staying safe and well. Do any of you learned people out there have a service schedule for a RX300 2004 model please?. Regards DaveB
  7. Blimey that’s expensive!. I got a sensor linkage off eBay for £5.99 inclusive of p&p from Hong Kong!!!!!. To be honest it looks and feels every bit as good. Regards. DaveB
  8. Hi everyone, update with this problem. In the end after much grovelling underneath the RX, I have resolved the problem by manually resetting the headlight beam aim. Hope this helps others with the same issues. Thanks for your help. kind regards. DaveB
  9. Sounds good to me. I’ll see you there. Thanks for the heads up. Regards DaveB
  10. Thanks for your post John. My car has only the one sensor which ,as you rightly say ,is on the off side on the rear axle . Kind regards. Dave
  11. Hi Mark, many thanks for your reply. I have tried to do this but until yesterday had failed miserably to get the dash warning light to go out. However, the lights still go to a very low position after first going up/down as they should. I will have another go when it stops raining. Kind regards. Dave.
  12. Hi everyone, I posted about this problem a little while ago. Thanks to all for the information which was spot on, it was the sensor link which had failed due to corrosion. Since I have done the repair the dash light is no longer lit but the ‘dip’ head lights are too low. Can anyone advise me how to reset the dip headlight setting . Thanks DaveB.
  13. Hi Mark, Thanks for the info it’s much appreciated. I wasn’t quite sure how to approach the problem. The car has been so reliable and without any problems since I acquired it 3 years ago!. Hope it’s a cheap fix. Thanks again. Regards. Dave
  14. Hi, I have a 2004 RX300 and it’s fantastic. However, today the warning light for the above has been illuminated and wondered if anyone knows how to reset it?. Thanks. DaveB
  15. I agree whole heartedly with the previous post's.I bought exactly the similar vehicle to the one you are looking for only 6 weeks ago.I did pay 5k but it was from a reputable dealer/garage.It had a full history but it had not had the cambelt changed which they duly completed so far so good! But I do not want to jinx it!. if you buy well you will not be disappointed
