took the car to garage turns out the exhaust brackets had corroded and was a little loose helped a little, garage also said the bushes could be doing with replacing but no rush ( i'll get them done anyway) the loose spare wheel is where i think most of the noise is coming from i'll check it this weekend, has anyone removed the spare and just carry some foam? i'll post some pics of the car too.

thank you! i'll post some pics soon as it really is a credit to it's former owners, it seems to be more of a knock we have speed bumps in our area and it takes these fine just seems to happen occasionally but at speed and on motorways it's so quiet ! i've had a look on line and people are saying it can be to do with the handbrake cable? i know it's a heavy car and is old so not expecting it to be like new

just bought a 05 rx 300 (no air suspension) 94k miles full service history only two previous owners, absolutely love the car cant believe how it drives for an older car so chuffed! one thing though does anyone have noisy rear suspension/bushes when going over certain roads? doesn't happen all the time and even going over larger bumps in the road won't always hear it but can sound quite loud, just wondering if anyone has had this happen. cheers

cheers for all your information guys i think i'm going to take the plunge and get it ! reading other owner reviews seem to put them above the german rivals! i've had an audi a6 sline which i thought was poorly made a bmw 530d msport that i loved and got remapped that car could shift!! but as you said steve had to fix a gear box problem which cost a fortune and soured the car for me so fingers crossed this will be a great car to own, what about the boot space do you guys find it a problem apparently it's a bit on the small side for the size of the car?

Hi, i'm looking to get a replacement car for our current bmw 318d which has been rubbish, i have seen a few gs450h cars for sale i really like the look of them and would like some advice on the battery and any recalls they have had, also things to look out for during a test drive the model i'm looking at has done 75k one owner car and apparently the previous owner has maintained the car to a high standard regardless of cost. after reading the replacement battery can cost 4k is making me think twice so if anyone can help and put my mind at ease that would be great.
