  1. This is my very first post!! Does anyone know what is under the carpet in the rear centre passenger well in my RX400H? I have 2 wet spots that have appeared in the last couple of weeks just under the hybrid battery vent. It's just on the bump in the floor. They are about an inch wide with an inch gap. It is definitely coming from below as there are no leaks from the sunroof or lining. I have scoured the 'interweb' and nothing on this topic. I am hoping nothing serious but certainly a strange one!! I am hoping a car breaker or anyone out there may shed some light? Please forward any comments to this mission should you choose to accept... Pic attached!! Thanks
  2. The RX400H has a bad design for the rego plate. The backing only supports the top half of the plate. This is a very annoying issue as I have had to replace my front plate twice due to parking knocks that have cracked the plate. This can be an MOT fail. So to mitigate my next car park knock I have super glued my new plate to the old one as well as the 2 screws that were already in place. I turned the old one upside down so the crack is up. Now, hopefully, my new plate can withstand a little more impact... I hope this helps!
  3. Hi David1412, You will find that one of the keys is a 'valet' key. The main key (black i think) allows you to safely store 'valuables' in the glove compartment while handing over your car to a parking attendant with the valet key. This is more aimed at the US market where valet parking is very common. However, it sounds like the lock may have gone. Perhaps you contact a local mechanic and ask how much it would cost repair this and discount it from the sale price. You will find that Lexus is a very reliable car although for piece of mind a warranty may not be a bad idea. Hope this helps!
