  1. Hi Quantity 4 X 17" alloy wheels for a Lexus GS300/450 Mk2 vehicle. The 4 X 17" alloy wheels are surplus to requirements so I would like to give them away to anyone who can collect them from Wallasey, Wirral (CH45). All 4 alloy wheels have no tyres on them and have been used since being refurbished by Pristine Wheels, to which they have a few scuff marks, in total, on the outer face of the wheels. They are not cracked or distorted/buckled and are in good condition, besides the few scuff (kerb) marks. No money wanted as I've had my use out of them and have now sold the GS300 a couple of years ago.... so they are going spare. Please contact me at chris-lloyd@hotmail.co.uk if you would like pick them up. Thank you Chris
  2. Hi all..... :D I've ONLY been a member 11 months and this is my 1st question... took the plunge after answering a guys question regarding Superguard and whether it was worth the cost. :shutit: Anyway to my question. I have a 2002 GS300 and with the onset of colder days I fancy cool air coming thru the vents, without using air con and having the windows open. My heater/cooler control only goes down to 16°C and no lower. As it's basically a computer, can I set the output to colder than 16°C by over-riding the temp control? If so how, or does it have to be done by a Lexus garage? Thanx for all your info this past year, I've really enjoyed reading the answers, so keep up the good work.
  3. [/it's the first time I've replied to a question on the LOC, even though I've been a member for quite a few months now, but it's about time as this Superguard treatment I got hurt me in the pocket; really was a waste of £250. When I bought my GS a year ago I mentioned it to a valeter who warned me not to have the Superguard done... but I thought I knew better....how wrong I was! Lexus staff (who on the whole are hard working guys), propaganda as they make the car cleaning experience sound as if your pride and joy cannot do without it!! As other guys have mentioned; go out and buy decent products and do it yourself, as this not requiring waxing for 3 yrs mumbo-jumbo is total RUBBISH!! Read the labels and enjoy (sounds like hard work but it isn't) .. you'll get better satisfaction.. do a better job and the shine will look and last longer!!
