  1. Well, it's good to be back on here after initially joining 10 years ago :-) I have a GROM adaptor for sale as my beloved IS200 has finally been sold on.... It has the TOY1 harness and aux inputs - will work with a wide range of players/iPods etc, but just hasn't got control or charge of one. PM me if you're interested in it, I'd rather it go to a good hom

  3. Shame you got stung as you did. See that they (Grom) sell on ebay, so I just mailed them for the cable number for the AUX version (as I don't use an iPod). Thinking I'll go down this route, what with the weak dollar!
  4. Colonel Bogey very time I locked it would be really smart!!
  5. Cheers for the replies - seen that Grom kit, but noted it was from the States. My head unit has 13903 so it is an option. Everything I've looked at so far seems so close, or so over the top!!
  6. Hi all, Been away fro a while, if some of you older members remember me..... And I'm sorry to go over old ground, but I'm hoping for a really easy answer, cos my head is far up that dark place, it's untrue! You may remember that I bought a Dension DMP3 for my IS200? Well, for the second time, the FM modulator has gone. Now, Dension have been very good with email support, but the crux of the matter is that the modulator is dead. I can either send it away to Hungary for a £30+ repair, buy a generic FM unit (I think Motor World do a Veba modal with phono inputs) or, and this is where you lot come in, buy some kind of integration for the IS head unit. I seem to remember that one member was making an adaptor that could be used with the head unit, but they then went on hold for a time. Have things moved on? Is there anything on the market, cost effective, that can be plugged in to the back of my stereo, that will allow a red and a white phono lead to be plugged in, to get my music directly into my stereo? Thanks for your patience, and hope to hear from you soon..... Paul
  7. Decided where and when, then? Not been on the site for a while but, being Bolton based, would love to meet up (seeing as it's 1.30 am nearly!). I'll check my phone (07768 571979) on Sunday morning for a venue and time......
  8. You doing it then, Bloo?? Wouldn't trust myself getting the old Maplins catalogue and doing it myself, though I could probably fit a pre-assembled box. oR how about you, Geoffers? I think you deserve to make a few quid from each box sold, after all you've done. It's just the mod I would want........
  9. Just had my 20k service at Lexus Bolton. They gave me 10 % of parts, changed the gearbox oil and pollen filter, drop tested the battery and looked at my other little 'moans' and it cost £270. Got a GS300 for the day in the deal, too. Tried to get them to offer Gold Discount, but they said they were too busy anyway!!
  10. Has anyone tried these wipers at high speed yet? The PIAA ones don't have a fin to stop lift at higher speeds. Says they are a 'enhanced aerodynamic design to reduce windlift', but they don't seem any different to the Lexus ones...........
  11. Found mine to be excellent in the snow..........
  12. gw'on, gw'on. Put me down for a pair - Set of 2 x PIAA Silicone wipers (Standard) £27 IS200 (00-)1 x 18" & 1 x 20"* Ta!
  13. There's a thread in Workshop for that - Dash removal
  14. I believe all the snow button does it make the throttle less responsive (to stop wheel spin from high revs) it doesn't do anything else to improve traction or stability. It got me up the hill and other inclines without any spin at all. You could push the Go pedal as much as you wanted but it was still as stable as h@ll. I don't know what it does, but it works!! Lee, that patch would be great. Tried regisrty hacks already, but I'll try anything! Win2k is my OS. Thanks.
  15. No, not been around for a while. I have some software on the PC that I use for work and, no matter what you do, it ALWAYS resets IE homepage to its own choice. Annoying. Always then seem to get caught up in work.........
  16. Thanks, MAtt. Just left a post in Gold, asking if it hinges. Any idea's? If not, don't worry about finding out - I think you've done enough!!
  17. Its a brave man indeed who posts pictures on himself on the forums these days Ricky. I applaud your courage. And look forward to the 'chops of your and your car!!! And with a roofrack!!
  18. Got to use the snow button for the first time Monday night - excellent!! Stopped the car fishtailing when I hit it, but it caused me to stall in second near the top of a pretty steep hill. Thought 'aye aye, back to the bottom for me to try again', but I put it in first and away we went! Got me the rest of the way home without as much as spin of a wheel. Wizard little gadget.......... :hocus-pokus:
  19. I may be interested depending on the fitting method. Any more info??
  20. Was he orange from head to toe, or just in patches? :D My SE is the 'CD at the top' type, and it mutes the stereo no problem. No messy fiddling about to do it, so I would've thought, on my model anyway, there is an easy solution already built in? I have the Nokia kit fitted and, used with the old 6210, the phone would turn itself off when you switched the ignition off. Now I have the 6310, the phone stays on if I leave it in the cradle with the ignition off. Must be a phone feature?
  21. Ssshhhhhh! It's NOT cool (well, that's what I keep telling the missus!). They play some pretty good stuff, some of the time. Forget Jimmy Young, though! Weller, imho, was The Jam. My formative years were spent listening to The Jam and, listening to it now, it's still excellent stuff. I wouldn't like to choose between the two, really, but he get's the best applause when he plays old Jam numbers! Should be good............
  22. Not singing their praises, but I have a mate that lives in the wilds of Scotland. Saw this for him - affordable satellite?. May be worth a look if you have nothing else, or are dissatisfied?
  23. I think Chris Shipley was pining for me in one of his posts :D Won't see me over the weekend neither. As a lifelong Paul Weller fan I entered, and won, a competition on Radio 2. The prize was watching Weller do a live broadcast from Maida Vale studios, for Radio 2. It's being broadcast this Saturday at 3.30pm, so listen in and think of me........ There's only about 30 peeps invited, so I'm REALLY honoured!!
  24. I've been on an anger management course recently. That's why you haven't seen me around!
