Ticking Noise From Dash - Especially When Air Con Is On

Does anyone get that odd ticking noise from the dash ( air vents ), when the air con is on - especially when it's directed to the main vents?

It's like a ticking or stepper motor?

assuming it isn't just an old dried up leaf stuck in the blower it sounds like one of the air diversion motors is constantly running because the position sensor isn't working correctly so it is hunting for its position.

I have heard of an acorn getting stuck in an ac fan. Not saying its an acorn but you can probably take the ac system apart and clean it out.

The warranty might cover it. I bet you could take it to a qualified mechanic to fix it. What year is it?

It was the stepper motor.

Fixed under my Lexus warranty :)

( And ... a seized calliper too )
