'keyless' Isn't Being Ign Compliant

Recommended Posts

I've tended not to use the feature, but it would seem a good idea to save her ladyship rummaging for her key.

So I switched it on under the dash.

All works as per spec. until we get to the ign switch, & it refuses to turn without the key being inserted.

It was probably like that when we bought it.

Am I missing something blindingly obvious? (apart from not buying a 400 of course :shutit: )

Update - Yawn:

It would seem that either I was too eager, (a dreadful accusation to receive), or I wasn't putting enough effort into the turning action.

Sometimes effort is required, sometimes not; but "key not detected" is not displayed.

I'd spray the barrel with silicone, but with the key inserted no effort is ever required.

I think I will be forced to send her highness on a course so she can find the smart key on/off switch blindfolded.

Never reading the handbook is a matter of principle to her.

Dear God, the stress :(
