Rear Caliper Sticking (warranty)

Recommended Posts

Took my 2008 is250 in to main dealer today to have a long overdue recall job done, whilst it was there I asked them to check my brake calipers as it is a known problem on the car.

When I went to collect it I was told one of the rear calipers was in fact seized, this was not showing to be a problem when driving and I was unaware of it, well bottom line is they said they would replace it free of charge,,,most surprised as the car is eight years old, not complaining mind.

Would have cost £175

I have a 2006 is250 with 104,000 and my calliper is seized. Lexus Cheltenham quoted £370 to fit a new one. Maybe I should enquire about this

Carl911, no harm in trying, mine is a 2008 with 15,500 mls so it's a different scenario, I don't know why mine was done under warranty, maybe goodwill gesture as previously mentioned or because of the low mileage, but just glad they did.
