Aftermarket Alarm And Sport Wheel

Recommended Posts

Evening everybody , had my is 200 for a few weeks now and must say overall very happy with car , just a couple of niggles , I have a viper 5002 alarm system on car and just wondering if anybody has same system installed , after advice . Secondly car had a sports wheel fitted but was supplied with original , have changed it back to original but having trouble with the wiring , i.e steering wheel airbag and cruise control , it seems to have been ' altered ' to accommodate sports wheels , any diagrams or pics of original wiring would be greatly appreciated , thanks in advance , Paul

Hello and welcome to the LOC.

Sorry unable to help with either problem but pretty sure some IS owners will have the answers.

Just a warning, be very careful messing about with airbags they can go off unexpectedly if the correct proceedures aren't followed.

Hi Colin , yes when I got the car previous owner had spent nearly £700 on a viper alarm system for it , great alarm but seems to have bypassed a few functions in car , one being the boot and unable to open remotely . Can only open with inside lever and unable to turn lock with key on the actual boot !
