Is This Considered A 'bad' Air Filter?

Evening All,

I have just got back from work in France and decided to change the air filter in the dark as I am all buzzy on too much french coffee.

It takes 2 minutes and very basic tools. It also sounds gorgeous with no filter on.

Here is how the filter looks with a brilliant white card to show what 'real white' looks like. Some of the bigger chunks fell out on the way to the house.

Pollen filter done, fuel and oil ones to do now.

It does not look as bad as many I have seen.

However fine particulate in a filter is the hidden problem which means always should be changed as per schedule.

I assume the increasing amount of diesel cars with their increased particulate is also clagging up more an more filters.
