Does anybody know if the cruise control in a 1999 is200 auto has it's own fuse? It worked going to work this morning, but didn't coming home - there is no light coming on on the dash any more???

I don't know the layout of the gear change on your car but I thought that had happened to my car but then realised after being told by a well knowledgeable LOC member that when you put the gear stick into D if you are also able to pull the gear stick to the right that cuts out the CC. Mike.

Thanks for the reply Mike. Moving the gear shift to the right puts the gearbox out of D and into 3, changing between the two still doesn't switch the cc on at all and I can't find a fuse associated with it?

There is the 10A gauge fuse which feeds the light, but that would also affect other things on the dashboard. There is nothing else fuse wise. The cruise control itself uses the electronic throttle motor that your accelerator uses rather than a dedicated actuator. If the fuse is ok then my first guess would be a faulty switch or wiring to it.
