I'm thinking of giving my mk1 gs300 sport a heart transplant, the donar is a 4.3. V8 from a 2004 ls430..

Will I have massive problems ??

Would a 2jgte Aristo twin turbo engine be easier??

I've been contemplating somethings similar as a project car myself. Won't be a complete stroll in the park, but worth it none the less.

For me personally, the 2j route isn't "special" enough for all the effort, it is just turning a gs300 (a rebadged aristo) into an aristo, which came in that guise. i.e. It is easier to buy an Aristo and put the gs300 sport bits on it to get the same overall result.

Having said that, more tuning options on the 2j.

I think that makes sense about the 2jz.

The gearbox on the 430Ls is knackered that's why I'm breaking the car, they are hard to come by and are pretty expensive.

Would any other gearbox do the trick?
