Replacing Key Fob Battery

Hi

I've just got a 'Low Key Battery' message on my dash cluster this morning. No biggie. The spare is till working. I've seen a lot of videos that demo how to change the Battery but. Apparently I take out the physical backup key and use that to split open the fob. But ... no matter how much I twist and turn that key I cannot split open the fob. I'm worried about snapping off any part of the casing.

Has anyone here tried this method? Does it require a fair bit of force?
