99 Is200 Manufactured Alarm Keep Going Off

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I just jump on the the bandwagon of IS200 which i am the second owner after the 16 years ownership of the previous owner.

All the mechanical parts runs perfectly expect the Alarm System.

My case is the alarm keep going off in the middle of the night, which is so frustrating and annoying.

Of course, I have tried to google it and read related posts;

Most responds are saying that the motion sensor or the siren were going bad; which I believe so due to the age of the car (the parts too).

some responds taught us to disconnect the motion sensor by removing the roofline to reach the sensor, and or replace new siren in the boot.

all these solutions work?!?!?

I am curious that was an answer from years ago, any latest or better solutions????

My wish is to keep using the Keyfog for lock and unlock the door without alarm going off.

doesn't matter if the alarm(the siren) functions normally or not.

Please give a hand and you have my biggest Thanks. Appreciate it.

Gavin

Hello and welcome to the LOC.

I heard you can turn off the interior motion sensor with the remote keyfob, this is for situations like leaving a dog in the car for a short period so it doesn't trigger the alarm.

Not sure on the proceedure but seem to remember pressing the lock button twice, if you have the owner's manual it should be detailed in there.

Thanks for your quick response.

Double tap the lock button (3 indicator flashes) when locking the car, this deactivates the interior sensors but activates the dead locks on all 4 doors.
