Active Stabiliser Suspension System

Recommended Posts

Thanks for reply.

Just looked and I have a little hatch on nearside of boot - wheel arch wall. It has just one narrow vertical fuse strip. like manual page 393 although I can't see fuses 10, 11 and 12 even with a little mirror. However it is dark and the boot light on the offside is about as effective as a Morris Minor starting handle.

Talking of the boot light, why does it have a switch? Why isn't it automatic?

Yep those fuses are impossible to see even the ones on the far side. As for the boot light its a very bad design imo also does your boot open fully when the button is pressed or does it only open a inch??

I seen a GS 450H with those active stabilizers before but that was a jap import.

Yes my boot just releases its catch and hardly moves. An inch would be overstating it!

My wife finds it quite hard to lift up. It would be good if it lifted easier - perhaps some stronger struts?

The car allegedly had the active stabilisers but I was not convinced and was looking for the fuse box as proof one way or the other.

When I got the car I don't think the handbook had ever been opened. I don't know how the previous owner ever found out about anything.

Its a tough call all right maybe you will get a better view in daylight. The boot on my wife's A4 lifts up completely when you press the button so I was expecting the GS to be the same!!!
