Reversing Wing Mirrors

The handbook says that to disable the downward link for the wing mirrors when reversing

"select neither L nor R"...Page 182

There is always a light on one or the other so how does one do this.

Obviously most of the time the downward facing mirrors are an aid when reversing, but not always, and I would appreciate advice.

Try pressing the one that's lit up it might go off

Also, if you are reversing and using the mirrors without the 'dip' in operation, all you need to do if you suddenly decide at the last minute that they would be better dipped at that moment, just press the 'L' or 'R' button so that it lights up and the mirrors will dip. In other words you don't need to come out of reverse to change the setting. As you commented 'Brilliant'
