Hello,

i have ''grgrgrgr'' type of noise coming from gearbox when floor it at around 1800rpm and below. Most significan in 3th, 4th and 5th gear. Noise stops above 2000rpm. Gears are not grinding, shifts well. No matter if it is cold or warmed up...This started a couple of months after i've installed JUN SMF 6.3kg, leaved OE clutch in it. Transmission has fresh 75w-90 oil in it.

The fact that has only happened since you fitted what is I assume a lightened flywheel would suggest it has something to do with the noise you now have probably due to the original clutch assembly being left in

By coincidence, this evening I read something on the HJ website regarding the MX5:

"6-speed box of 2009 upgrade can transmit 'chattering' noises to the cabin due to a lighter flywheel having been fitted to make the car more responsive. There is a modification to new boxes which improves but does not cure the problem."

As Steve said, perhaps your problem is similarly down to the lightened flywheel?

Thank you for replys. Looks like this noises are common if you swap dual mass flywheel with single mass flywheel. Looks like nothing is wrong. Only single mass flywheel chatter. Found on youtube many videos about it. Thanks
