I have a 07 IS250 with the Mark Levinson Sat Nav system.

The touchscreen stopped working, so I followed online instructions to change the screen.

However, when re-installing the unit I noticed that there was one socket on the back of the unit where I could not find a plug. I looked hard, but I could not find the "missing" plug.

Is it possible that not all of the sockets need to be occupied with a plug? Or should all of the sockets have plugs in them?

The reason why I ask is that now that the unit is back in the car, the touchscreen works (yay!) however the following MAP, DEST, & MENU buttons dont do anything but put stripes on the screen.

Apologies if I have not explained things very well, any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a connection issue. There are connections between the pcb with the buttons and the unit - I would check these first to make sure they are seated fully.

good luck

I replaced the whole screen, which included the touchscreen element.

Found one on eBay for around £150 which was a whole lot cheaper than what Lexus was quoting!!!

I may repair my old screen with the conductive paint and keep it as a spare.
