Hybrid owners - were you cold last winter?

My RC300 is the first hybrid I have had and came across an interesting issue last week. I joined three lanes of southbound brake lights on the M1 and then spent well over an hour nudging forward over the next 15 miles. Because we were just nudging up at slow speed the car was always using hybrid. Over the hour or so I noticed that, because the petrol engine was not spinning, the temperature slowly dropped. What happened to anyone stuck in this sort of traffic in the winter; any longer and the heating would have gone?

Not noticed that issue at all, also can't see why it would be different to the IS 300h. When it needs to the petrol engine should kick in to maintain your chosen cabin temperature. Have you tried using the heated seats and taking some hot tea and a blanket with you?
