ICE Freezing

Recommended Posts

Has anyone else had a problem with the ice freezing?

Had the sat nav on and  radio but they both froze, radio muted and sat nav stopped giving directions or moving the map. I tried to change the radio channel, nothing. Tried to cancel the sat nav nothing.

Had to pull of the motorway, turn off the car and restart it.

Not had the problem before or since so hopefully its just a glitch!

When I got my first IS300h, the nav/radio was freezing up frequently.  Turned out the SD card with the map data was not properly inserted.  Ejected and reinserted it and it was fine as long as I had the car.

The infotainment in my current IS was also unstable for a while.  That was fixed by replacing the WiFi hotspot.

Only had it freeze once. It should restart if you press and hold the volume knob to switch it off and then do it again to turn it back on.

Check that your software is up to date. Mine is pretty smooth and Im on D or something.

I had that happen a few times when I first got my IS. As Rayaans says, resetting via the volume knob gets it working again.

I mentioned it when it went for it's first service and they updated the software, it hasn't happened since (over a year now).
