ECU Remapping will it improve fuel consumption?

hi sorry but if am not wrong you can't remap it,by the way when was it last serviced?are you heavy footed with the accelerator?

you should be getting anything between 22 and 28 mpg to be honest,on the other hand they were never designed with fuel ⛽ economy at the forefront.

Love the car, must admit had a leg accident last year and so have not been going on any decent length runs mainly down to shops. This will not help I know.

They can be remapped but it won't work as the ECU is self learning so will revert back to how it was.
Try some cataclean, use with quarter of a tank and drive until empty then refill. 

It may help. It cleared a p0420 code and helped my fuel economy.

Short trips wont be good for MPG

I did disconnect the negative lead for a good hour and had seen on the forum that the ECU will reset itself and learn my driving style. It does seem to go up through the gears quicker than before.
