A favour from an ls430 owner

I've been told by  a dealer who's selling a car with one key that his is the master key because he lexus told him only that key opens the glove box. Is that right

I've just checked mine.  It came with three keys and two open the glove compartment but the one without the "trunk" button doesn't, It won't even go in the lock. I guess that's the valet key.  So I'm guessing I have two master keys as they both have all three buttons and work everything.

Lexus told me that you can't tell by looking at them but he reckons they told him only the master one opens it. Don't they come with two key fob ones then

Originally from new they should have been supplied with 2 master keys, 1 valet key and a skeleton key (just the blade).

A valet key will not open the boot or glovebox and if the 430 as the 400 are the same will not unlock the remote boot and petrol tank flap.

That's how mine is (minus a skeleton key) the valet key won't open the boot or glove box.

Hopefully it's a master then. How does the keyless entry work then

Simple, you lock it by touching one of the door buttons and open it just by touching the door handle, works a treat.
