What Battery Is Used In Keys For 1992 Ls400?

Hey all,

Does anyone have a clue what type of Battery is used in the remote key for 92 LS400s? I assume once I know the part no. I can just get it from Tandy/Maplins. I would refer to the old one from the key but I misplaced it when I opened it up!

Not sure if this will help but I'd expect a standard Battery size. on the MkIV it's a 3V 1616 Battery ie 16mm in diameter and 1.6mm in height. You should be able to measure the recess for the Battery.

Don't you have a second key? Don't you have the manual?

My empty space for the Battery is smaller than your measurements suggest, in terms of diameter. I will have go to an electronics store and just try and match one up. I looked in my original owner's manual - nothing in there!

Only 1.75 each including P&P. Worth checking out whatever batteries you need. Lexus charged me 12 quid last time they changed the Battery! I'm in the wrong business!
