Hi. It was rubbed down, the mesh was painted Matt black, whilst the badge and grill surround were painted Gloss black.

Gives a nice contrast, especially in the sun.

Glad you like it.

Loving it! Like the rear diffuser too - shame they're a tad on the dear side

Peter P18, I want to change my stock front grill and I want to buy one in the same style yours.

I saw this one on eBayhttp://www.ebay.com/itm/06-08-Lexus-IS250-350-ISF-IS-F-Style-Black-Mesh-Front-Hood-Grille-Grill-/282186059273?fits=Make%3ALexus

You confirm that the grey "L" emblem is not included and I have to buy it separately?

Hi,

I'd be careful buying replica parts mate. Often missing the fixings or tabs the OEM parts come with. Mine is a genuine Lexus grill for the IS-F, just from the US market.

I bought mine secondhand via the US forum, then had my Bodyshop paint it for me. The badge was included in the sale, but if you do decide to take a punt on this, I highly doubt the badge will be included.

Pretty sure it's the same size and style as our boot emblem? If so, you can pick one up via your local Lexus dealer, or eBay?

Best of luck!

Peter P18, my ISF has the pre crash system with te very very expensive emblem on the front grill. This emblem has a function? If I replace this one by the same front grill and emblem as you I will not have problem?

I don't think the pre-crash system is in the badge, isn't it just behind the grill with the radar.

I might be wrong mind!

Hi Chaps.

Correct. The PCS and radar cruise control sensors are all wrapped up in a black box that sits behind the grill. It's not attached to the badge, but the badge allows the sensors to read what's in front of the car. The issue I'm having is the other type of badge seems to confuse the sensors, so it flashes up intermittently to say PCS not working or available.

I'm hoping I can relocate it to behind the lower grill or to the side of the new badge. Would need to move it when I fit the supercharger kit anyway, so will be looking at that soon. Worst case scenario, should be able to extend the wiring I would think?

Will let you know what I find.

Cheers.

Pete

@Spacewagon52 Been discussed on here in previous threads David, it came here from Jersey a few months ago and went through Mannheim auctions a number of times before being sold, I have spoken to the dealer on behalf of another member on here and he chose to buy elsewhere.

Ive a fair bit of info on the car should anybody else be interested in it.

Sorry I missed that. One advantage of so few cars is that their history is more likely to be known. Well worth another mention by you.

@Spacewagon52 I agree I quite enjoy gathering information on individual ISF's on the basis it may help others on a future purchase of a car that perhaps the forum members don't know about.

I am conscious of course not saying anything on a public forum that I cannot back up with fact as I would not want to interfere with the sale of a car either privately or at a dealers.

Simply stating what I have found easily obtainable on line that anyone can establish with a few clicks.

In my defence, this was at the end of a 2 day road trip through Wales :)

@Flytvr Well whilst there if you spent less time discussing milk floats with other drivers you could have thrown a bucket over it.

Dont try and say this picture is from a 'different ' Welsh trip you know The Rat is always truthful in his posts 🤥

And to think silver normally hides the dirt well 😊

I gave in and washed it this afternoon. That blue is nearly as bad as black to keep clean.

Hi guys, can't believe I almost sold my beast about 4 weeks ago, pay all the money for 6 weeks advertising and after 1 week my amazing wife noticed I was suffering from car love and depression at the thought of the separation, so she insisted we keep it as she has a soft spot for it as well.

I've just had tracking done, rear wheels needed adjusted, it was pulling left a tiny bit but now perfect.

112285 miles and even though I know through its life with 7 other owners it was occasionally driven hard, including myself, it feels like a new car and sounds like one. No rattles or squeaks.

I've done about 5800 miles from last August when I got it and the oil has not got any lower on the dip stick.

Gave it a wee wash and muscle rub with some Polish the other day.

@Mark6pot So there we have it concrete proof ......

The right car the right colour, clearly the right wife and the right decision has been made !

Mark you've said you had the tracking done obviously this included the front did it through up any remarks?

Have you got / inner front tyre wear ?

I rang my local stealer yesterday regarding the bushes for the front lower control arms £100.00 for the pair, now I don't have a problem with mine, yet , but helpful chap was telling me that there are 3 different setups, 3 separate part numbers.

So there is negative and + or - 20 which is something I was unaware of AND AS WELL NOW THEY ARE A HARDER COMPOUND RUBBER.

Mines due new tyres and a geo so I'll give all this some thought, service manager confirmed that non standard suspension components are a warranty no no.

Im guessing you had an Indy do your bit of work ?

Yes Paul, local kwik fit, they had it up in the air for almost an hour just being nosy looking at the cars set up and exhaust going wow, wow, 5.0L V8 wow, wow. Tyres are wearing perfectly, if anything the outside edge of front tyres a wee bit more on passenger side with all the roundabouts in Livingston lol

They said all was very tight and no play in anything. They had a screen that customers could watch that displayed the adjustments being made, front end was perfect, rear end needed a wee bit done. Could be caused by cars power, torque output over time.
