Location of alarm relay

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I've recently become the proud owner of an LS400 after years of VW's i had an old dear pull I front of my Passat V6 which saw me reaching for another V engine and here i am.

In my wisdom i decided at the weekend to change the Battery (though working fine) for the correct one and have since immobilized the ignition system. After a few searches i realised that the car should've had an electronic fob which Lexus no longer produce and the car requires a bit of a Battery dance everytime i start it now.

I've done the door and ignition dances, driven myself half crazy, missed a day of work and now I've had enough. I've found some info online that requires some manipulation of the alarm relay but I'm struggling to locate it... Is there anyone that can help me locate this so i can get on with enjoying this lovely machine?

This model doesn't have an immobilizer chip in the key like later 96's, only the alarm it's locking me out. Thanking everyone in advance for their support
