New Member - Sat Nav Question - GS450h

Recommended Posts

Hello All

I have just bought a 2008 GS450h.  Got a really good deal - full Lexus service history, 6 month warranty, 6 months tax, 50K miles for just over 8K

Very happy with it generally but I have noticed a problem with the Mark Levinson Sat Nav.  When I go to enter a destination it is "greyed out" (I can see the option but cant select it)  Then it comes on and I start to enter the address and then it greys out again.

Is it just slow software or do I have a problem with the software/system??

Any advice to a newly Lexus owner appreciated

Hi Lindsay. Welcome to the club and to GS450h ownership I hope you are enjoying it as much as I am mine. Yours sounds a good buy.

What year are your maps? One of the screens will tell you. If you have got a software problem and you have old maps, newer maps probably come with improved software so that might fix the problem.

As you will read on the forums, Lexus excel in most areas but (intuitive) Sat Nav operation is not one of them :wallbash:

Hi Lindsay, and welcome to the LOC, we are a friendly bunch and some of us even know how to pull them to bits and put them back together again, with of course the one bolt and washer left over.

We always like to see pictures of members cars so don't be shy.

Can you leave more time after hitting the submit button otherwise it just remembers how many times you have hit the button and keep on duplicating the post.

We recommend you spend a couple of mins looking over the rules of the LOC, we will be asking questions later.
