Throttle sticking temporarily

This could be down to a dirty throttle body "throttle butterfly and surrounding area". Your local motorist shop will sell aerosol cans of cleaner for this. After cleaning lubricate the shaft with a little WD40 and check it's movement with your fingers against the return spring. The action should be smooth with no sticking or grittiness. The throttle is moved by a small electric motor.

While you are there remove and clean the MAF sensor with MAF cleaner being careful not to break the two fine wires.

Taking the throttle body off is quite easy and would be the best way to clean it. Use a generous blast of brake clean and some scrubbing and it'll be super clean in no time. Let it sit for a bit so the brake clean can evaporate off any electrical components and re fit. It should solve your problem.

WD40 is a solvent not a lubricant. Use something like silicone lubricant for that as it resists dirt and oil and withstands temperatures of up to 200°C

WD40 was designed to be an anti oxidising compound for rocket casings. Originally put on sale as "Rocket 40" by the American government as it was the 40th formula tested. It's name was changed to "WD40" WD being the war department. 

It contains both solvents, and lubricants being designed to stay on metals after the solvents have evaporated.
