LS400 Mileage? How high is too high?

I actually bought a '96 when it was appx 230k, it had no probs at all, but, as someone else said it had had all its services, the guy treated with care, im on 173k now but I dont even think about apart from due an oil change (appx every 5-7000k for me)

Matt - mine is not for sale but if I did sell it I would not have any fear for what the next owner might be in for. It has done 252k (1998 Mk 4) and drives superbly. Mine has an annual service and other than that there is generally little else to do. As others have said the maintenance record is more important than the outright mileage in my opinion. Mine is 112k. When changing the oil I can't see the difference in color between new and old oil.

They are good for hundredsK if not over million miles as some in US have already covered such distance.
