Heated Front Seats - Mark Iii Lexus 400

Recommended Posts

As a newbie - many thanks for help in solving problems with my Mark III 400 - (got seat memory working/stalling problem cracked - cleaned out valve throttle) only thing I can't seem to solve is why the heated seats don't work. Fuse is OK - the lights come on when the buttons are pressed but no heat. It is unlike Lexus to have something which just breaks - without a reason. Is there a separate fuse under each seat for example ?? Has anyone else had same problem

Would be grateful for any ideas ??????????????????

Many thanks in advance - Regards SimonT

I think you will probably find that the element has gone open circuit. There is a connector in the back of the seat, but this is not likely to be the cause. I think probably a design fault, in that constantly sitting on and off the seat, causes an element fracture. Had the same problem with a MK3 myself. Did not fancy taking all the leather off, so just left it. Sorry about the bad news :duh:
