GS300 climate control problems

Good evening,

 

I joined this forum because I'm really looking for a solution for the problem that I have with my '98 GS300. 

The following problem occures, my climatronic a/c, rear window defogger doesn't work. I attached a picture of how it looks when turned on.

I checked the fuses under the dashboard on both sides, and no faults here. 

On screen the buttons are all light grey. so they can't be activated. All the buttons for the hvac system don't work. So no temp control. The display won't show the outside temp. inside temp. or whatever... 

Navigation and radio with all the audio things work. Also the menu with range and fuel consumption.

I Also pulled all the connectors from the navigation module to see if it reacts to anything. The navigation and radio went out when I pulled those connectors, but when I pulled the connectors from the black box (A/C amplifier)  nothing reacted to it. So could it be possible that none of the climate controle funtions funtion because this box is maybe broken?

I really hope you guys can help me out, I'm getting pretty desperate hahaha :P

Hi RandOm. Welcome to LOC.

I am reasonably cirtain the problem with your car is the AC amplifier. You could try pulling out the connectors, and refitting at the amplifier to see if this corrects the problem. May be someone else will have a better solution.

Thanks for the reply John. 

I ordered a used AC amplifier and hope it gets delivered here within 2 weeks. I will report if this solves the problem or not.

In the meanwhile if there is anybody else who has a suggestion, please speak up haha
