Had a thought regarding which wheel sensor is which, if I let one down and rescan, it should then show as a lower value in the red numbers in the top left of last picture?

Be a pain, but if go round all 4, 1 at a time, should be able to tell which is which eh?

Also, does it say n/a as the setting as they aren't initialized as missing a sensor reading? Once sensor replaced and codes in, I assume I'll be able to initalise and will then have the target pressure show where it currently says n/a?

How often is the car supposed to read the tpms signals?

I reset error codes yesterday, and having driven 20 mins to work and 30 mins home with a stop off, the warnings not come back.

It was great to not have the flashing warnings and be able to actually use dash display for more than a moment, but thought the errors would have returned fairly quickly... have I killed them or something?

Hmm, so it's been since Sunday where I cleared my tpms warning, and it's still not returned. Either this is a real lazy system (checks once a week) or I've done something?

Good news though, the flash is gone so driving much more comfortably now I've not got the warnings constantly lol

With careful digging into the sealant around the battery of the TPMS sender in the wheels it is possible to remove the old dud battery and solder in a new one. The unit can then be re-sealed using body filler, silicon, or epoxy resin.

This brings the cost of replacement down to around £1 per sensor with no registering in the ECU. Standard rubber valves can be fitted while this work is being carried out if required.

I seem to remember there was a very useful thread about this with step-by-step instructions. I can’t for the life of me find it! Has anyone got a link?

If the light is on, with the car running normally or off during during initialisation, you'll fail the MOT.  The sensors just have to be working, they won't check if they're in the tyres, just the same as they won't check any other system, as long as the warning lights indicate that it's working normally.

Apparently the vehicle only fails on this if it’s post 2014. I asked my tester and he said that a lot of garages seem to be confused about the new regs.

Where would one get a box like this one? I thought this was a good idea but I’m coming up blank on where to get a box that can be pressurised.
