Lexus is220d Headlight

Yes you can, IS220d, IS250 and IS-F all have same headlights. The difference is however whenever you have HIDs or Halogens. HIDs will have ASF and that won't work on aftermarket lights and you will have AFS warning light on dash. Generally, I would not advise change HID to aftermarket lights because you will run into issues and aftermarket lights will be effectively worse. If you have basic Halogens then it should be fine.

Without taking them out, there are other clues e.g. does you headlamps auto adjust when you turn them on? Then HID - halogens should have manual adjustment. If you have SE-L then HIDs were standard.

Finally, you can take the bulbs out - which is definitive answer:

As far as I am aware, the simplest way to determine that is whether you have headlight washers or not?

If so, then it has Xenon's fitted, otherwise standard halogens.

Indeed... how did I missed that one - the useless headlight washers which wastes half of washing fluid in one time :)(

If you do have the SE-L with headlamp washers and auto-leveling then the listing specifically states they are not compatible.

I've looked a few times and never seen any aftermarket replacements that are compatible with the SE-L models

In short - if you have SE-L you already have best headlamps there are for this model and any changes will be making your car worse. I understand that you consider them for visual appeal rather than how they light the road. As of fitting them - yes they will actually fit, but that will be more of the hack then fit (hence marked not compatible), taking out better headlights, disconnecting AFS (and getting Christmas tree of warning lights). You need to consider very well if that is worth it - extra money and time to make your cars arguably worse?!
