Had a bit of rust bubbling on the previous is220d on front passenger side wheel arch. Lexus bristol advised me to rub wax into it every week or two.

Thankfully no signs of rust what so ever on the 250.

When it comes to bonnet I have some bubbling on the front as well. I believe it is poor touch-up i.e. there was stone chip, somebody touched it up, but did not prep properly (aluminium needs special primer), or didn't even clean it, just rubbed the drop of paint straight on the water/dirt/grease etc. New paint bonded to surrounding paint, but not to the aluminium base, humidity/dirt/water made pocket underneath which spread to the sides from changes in temperature etc. which in the end resulted in bubbling.

In fact same true for the rusted panels after dodgy repairs, the only difference - bonnet is not rusted underneath as it is aluminium.
